My Child You are...
A chosen race, a people for God's own possession
Daughters of light and of day
Partaker of Christ
Salt of the earth
Light of the world
Christ's body and individually members of it
His workmanship
Created in Christ Jesus for good works
Of God's household
Ambassadors for Christ
Freed from sin
Slaves of righteousness
A new creature

Oh if only we lived in the reality of who we are in Christ...

I can't believe how time has flown by...it feels like yesturday when I first left Cali when in reality I'm approaching my two year mark of leaving. And oh all that the Lord has done in that time! I am blessed beyond measure and so undeserving! Since I've left I have gotten married and am now expecting our first child in April! I cannot even begin to express the beauty of God's forgiveness and grace to place me in a relationship with my bestfriend and lover, to be discipled by him, to be encouraged and rebuked by him...I am so so thankful for a godly husband! California and Alabama are...to say the least completely opposite but the Lord has calmed my heart and given me a tender love for where we are right now. Our church is truely a beautiful blessing. To sit under the preaching of the Gospel is a great blessing that I often take for granted. Praise the Lord that He determines our steps! I pray He continues to carry us in His will and under the shelter of His wing- for there I will sing for joy.
"My soul clings to You, Your right hand upholds me." Ps 63:8

Well I've been in California for almost 7 months now...and I have just 10 weeks left. Still after all the time of being here I sit with this question: how do you make people that have everything see that really all that need and all that is of worth is Jesus?
I just don't know how to reach the most beautiful, wealthy, comfortable people in the world.
All I do know is that if they truely would experience Jesus- authentic, real...then they would never want anything more.
Lord save us from our comfortability.

My heart is torn apart when I think about leave San Luis Obispo...it's become my home in so many ways. I long to see these youth encounter God in such a radical way that will change and challenge the world around them.

I leave May 8th. And I will leave apart of me here.
A blessing this time has been. Forever I will be changed.

Sweet time. So short.

Complacent consistency
Grotesque Rotted Heart
Soul suffocating
Pride Refusing to Part
Drowning in Self-Satisfaction
Dieing to Heal My Soul
Cascading to the End of Me...

I've recently adopted a quote from Derek Webb that says:
I want to shed light into the dark places where I hide so that I won't hide
there anymore...I no longer judge my Christianity by how well I hide my sin...

FREEDOM FOUND IN CHAINS
THE PARADOX OF LOVE...
AS MERCY FALLS,
FEAR IS RELEASED.
FINDING MYSELF
WITHIN HIS GAZE
COMPLETE IN HIS EMBRACE
JOY BEYOND FATHOM
I DARE NOT SPEAK...
MY GREATEST ADMIRER
YET IT'S NO ME HE SEES-
BUT ONE SO MUCH GREATER
THE PERFECTOR OF THIS LOVE

As I pray for the Lord to continue to shed light into the
dark places that threaten to take me back...I'm met with
the compelling love of Christ that beacons me into Him..
Fear of what it will mean for me to be completely exposed...
and without condemnation...grips me. Yet I'm drawn
into His arms...grateful I no longer have to hide.
Learning to live vulnerable.

Sweet Surrender
Free from Chains
Death of Self
Bound to Him
To Die is Gain
He's Enough
All I Need...
I am Healed
as i watch HIM bleed...

The Lord is so good to me! Each day I see more of His mercy- and praise the Lord it is made new each morning! Yesterday I was hired as a nanny for the Cooper family. It is such a answer to prayer! Nathan is 7 months old and such a precious baby! I'm blessed to be able to represent Christ and His love in this family's life! I now have a job through April!

Everything here in California is going great! I am learning so much, I love my girls to death, the Lord is blessing relationships and proving Himself (as always) Faithful! The weather is great! The view is incredible. The Lord is drawing me closer to Himself, breaking me constantly, refining me and holding me through it all. And I get to see Caleb Kent Young in 20 days!!! And my parents!!! I cannot wait!

I am blown away by the Lord's goodness and faithfulness. "The Lord moves when we pray"...I've read that so many times, but just in the past week the Lord has reconstructed my heart towards prayer. He is teaching me how to fight on my knees- as I realize my weakness each time I try to stand...it has been a blessing to watch the view from my knees as the Lord challenges and changes lives. It is incredible to watch the Lord move in our midst, I am humbled that He would allow me to watch His glory fall. The Lord is doing so much here in SLO, California. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to be here at such a time as this. I miss my family, friends and Caleb deeply but am resting in the Lord sovereignty. He is so good! Please pray for my health- that the Lord would heal my body, that I would continue to be teachable, that the Lord would continue to break, rip, tear, burn and humble me and that He would be my strength and my portion forever!
What a blessing to be disciplined by God... As the Lord opens my eyes to what hurts Him I am continually broken and ashamed of my adulterous heart. I long to be IN LOVE with my Savior, wrapped up in Him.
" Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told youm so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders..."
I Thes 4:11-12
" Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark." James 3:5
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

"Whatever way my life may be spent as best to promote the glory of our gracious God, I feel anxious to do it..." David Livingstone

Lord I give you my heart, I give you my life- it is all for Your GLORY! Sick, poor, weak, supported or not- to God be the glory! My life is in Your hands...here am I.

So I guess it always comes down to if I truely do believe?
Is all of my hope, confidence, trust and faith resting in HIM?
The Lord is my strength and my portion...
Lord, please make this real to me today.
